PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
That’s what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. You don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed to advance your diving, so you can start right after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification.
The PADI Advanced Open Water course is the next step in the PADI continuing education system. The course is designed to increase your confidence, experience and hone your scuba diving skills. In the course, you get to do Deep Dive and Underwater Navigation plus you get to choose any three PADI Adventure scuba dives with the help of your PADI Instructor making a total of five dives.
You begin your training with knowledge development to ensure you understand the information necessary to safely complete your dives. This is done by completing the knowledge reviews in the Adventures of diving manual and the dive briefing given by your PADI Instructor. The Advanced Open Water will open many more exciting and intriguing dive sites that lay in deeper water and your instructor will provide you with the skills, experience and knowledge to make these type of dives safe and comfortable.
During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time
If you want to learn about fish identification there the PADI Fish ID we will show you how to identify different fish by placing them in their correct family groups. There’s also Peak Performance Buoyancy, boat dive, search and recovery, Digital underwater photography and Computer diving.
Beyond using basic scuba equipment, you’ll need a compass and computer. You’ll also use specialized gear depending on the Adventure Dives you choose.
Certified as PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or equivalent from another dive origination.
For Junior Divers, 12-14 years – maximum depth is 21 metres
The first day pick up from your hotel 7 am for transfer to the pier where a light breakfast is provided. The speedboat leaves at 8 am and arrives at the dive site 9:20 am. We arrive back to the pier in Koh Samui 3 pm.
The second Day pick from your hotel 7 am for transfer to the pier where a light breakfast is served. The speedboat leaves for Sail Rock at 8 am and arrives there 50 minutes later. We arrive back at Koh Samui 1:30 pm
